Keto Fat Bombs
For most people, one of the hardest parts of transitioning to a paleo or a keto diet is keeping your sweet tooth under control. There are a lot of amazing savory foods that we can enjoy on a low carb diet, but sweets can be a little more limited. This is why on those rare occasions that you do come across a dessert that is healthy, keto approved, paleo approved, only made from real whole food ingredients, doesn't use ANY sweetener and still tastes amazing, well... you cherish every bite.
These fat bombs only contain 4 ingrediets- coconut butter, cacao, Rootz Protein Superfood, and almonds. They are filled with healthy fats that will give you energy and keep you full any time you need a nutritious snack. With added protein, they are also a great pre or post workout option.
Now lets get to the most important part- the taste. The combination of sweet creaminess from the coconut butter, chocolatey taste from the cacao, and crunch from the almond makes these fat bombs of the best keto desserts I've ever tried. They remind me a little bit of Almond Joy bars, but actually much tastier in my opinion (and healthier). I was so pleased with how this recipe came out, and I think you will be too! Next time you are craving chocolate or ice cream but want something that will actually get you closer to your health and fitness goals instead of further- give these bad boys a try!
1 cup coconut butter
1 cup cacao
1/2 scoop Rootz Protein Superfood
hand full of almonds
- Mix one cup of melted coconut butter with 1/2 scoop Rootz Protein Superfood
- In a separate bowl, melt one cup of cacao, and mix it up
- Fill your mold (or muffin tray) 1/3 to the top with melted cacao
- Then fill the mold 2/3 to the top with the melted coconut butter and protein
- Add one whole almond per fat bomb
- Fill the mold to the top with cacao
- Freeze for 15 minutes
